Design & Customization
Can I change the font style?
Yes! In the Studio, navigate to the "Appearance" tab (or "Text" tab on mobile). You can choose from over 25 professional Google Fonts, including handwritten scripts and clean sans-serifs.
How do I add or remove layers?
Use the "New Layer" button (or `Alt + N` shortcut) to add a ring. To remove one, simply click the trash icon next to the layer's header in the sidebar.
Can I color code individual slices?
Currently, you can apply themes to entire layers. However, we are working on a "per-slice" coloring feature for a future update. Stay tuned!
Can I add my own logo or image?
Not directly within the Studio yet. We recommend exporting your chart as a Transparent PNG and then overlaying your logo using a free tool like Canva or Photoshop.
Can I use special characters or other languages?
Yes! The tool supports full Unicode text. You can type in any language (Hebrew, Sanskrit, Japanese, etc.) and even use emojis 🕉️ directly in your labels.
Advanced Features
How do I create many charts at once?
Use our Bulk Engine! Click the "Bulk Import" button in the Studio to paste data from Excel or CSV. You can generate dozens of unique charts in seconds. Check our Bulk Guide for a tutorial.
Is there a mobile app?
The tool works as a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can "Add to Home Screen" from your mobile browser's menu to install it and use it just like a native app—even offline!
Saving & Printing
What is the best font size for printing?
For standard A4/Letter printing, we recommend a font size of at least 12-14px. Use clean Sans-Serif fonts like Poppins or Quicksand for maximum readability. Avoid script fonts for small text. See our Typography Guide for more details.
Why does my printed chart look blurry?
Ensure you are exporting at a high resolution. We recommend using the PDF Export for printing, as it maintains vector-like quality. If using PNG, try the "High (300 DPI)" setting.
My text is cut off in the PDF.
This can happen if labels are extremely long. Try enabling "Text Wrapping" in the settings, or slightly reduce the font size for that specific layer.
How do I save my work to edit later?
Your work is automatically saved to your browser's local storage. To be safe, or to move between devices, use the "Backup (JSON)" button in the settings tab to download a project file.
Usage & Rights
Can I sell the charts I make?
Yes, you have full commercial rights to your creations. You can sell them on Etsy, use them in books, or include them in courses. If you profit from the tool, a small donation is appreciated!
Is the tool really free?
Yes, 100% free for creating and exporting unlimited charts (subject to our Fair Usage Policy). No watermarks (we include a small credit line on all charts), no paywalls. We are supported entirely by community donations.
Troubleshooting
The chart isn't generating/showing up.
Try refreshing the page (Ctrl + F5). If the issue persists, clear your browser cache. The tool works best on modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
I found a bug. How do I report it?
